Your Present Situation

It is common for people growing businesses or organisations, to find themselves in similar situations. For a variety of reasons you find you have outgrown your present solutions - and need to move on. Or maybe you've been so busy growing, you haven't yet had time to fill a gap that you are only too aware needs filling.
From what research you have done and from other websites you have looked at - not least your competitors' - there are things happening out there that need to be happening right here!
However - what tentative enquiries you have made to date have been pretty scary. Potential solutions seem to be very complicated, need a long time to implement and look like obliging you to take on an IT professional or pay (a lot!) to outsource.
Your Wish List
OK - you know things need to change and you are prepared to make the investment to bring that about. Having given some thought to what you would REALLY like - these are some of the points you've jotted down: -
- a solution to today's problems is not enough - we need to think about tomorrow
- therefore we need something that will endure and not need constant and substantial re-investment
- a website that can grow with our business, that has the potential to expand and develop
- we want to be able to change, update, edit and add content ourselves
- we would like a greater measure of in-house control
- we need an adaptable solution - one that is flexible enough to change with us
- we want something mainstream and respected - not a shaky one-off solution
- we'd like ALL of this - for as reasonable a price as we can get!
- we would also like to talk this through with people who can see things from our perspective
- we would like that talk to be in a language we understand and not be patronised by specialist knowledge.
Is A Solution Possible?
Let's be realistic - we wouldn't have laid out this scenario if we thought the answer was no! Have a look at Our Solution and see if our suggestions chime with what you are looking for.
Have a look also at the site for the software that we use to create your website. It's called *Joomla!® . It's used all over the world by tens of thousands of companies, governments and individuals - so you won't be alone!
Before you go - a warning. The link that appears here will take you to the 'What Is Joomla!' page - which is in pretty straightforward English. However - once you start exploring it can get pretty geeky, pretty quickly! They'll start talking about stuff like Apache, PHP and MYSQL. How all that can best be managed with XAMPP or WAMPSERVERS - etc, etc. None of which you need to understand - or even know about. All the important bits are covered on this page.
Who Uses Joomla?
To be fair, nobody really knows! But there are certainly millions of Joomla! powered websites. But how many of those are what we might think of as 'proper' websites - as used by big industries, universities, governments and other reputable organisations? Joomla keep tabs on how many government websites there are and - at the time of writing - there are 3113.
Certainly enough, we would hope, to convince you that Joomla! is a well respected and stable business partner.
